WSS4J

Apache WSS4J is an implementation of the Web Services Security (WS-Security) being developed at OASIS Web Services Security TC. WSS4J is primarily a Java library that can be used to sign and verify SOAP Messages with WS-Security information. WSS4J will use Apache Axis and Apache XML-Security projects and will be interoperable with JAX-RPC based server/clients and .NET server/clients. This version has been modified to support both the draft and final revisions of the WS-Security specifications.

Legion of the Bouncy Castle Java Cryptography APIs

The Bouncy Castle Crypto package is a Java implementation of cryptographic algorithms. The package is organised so that it contains a light-weight API suitable for use in any environment (including the newly released J2ME) with the additional infrastructure to conform the algorithms to the JCE framework.

JavaBeans Activation Framework (JAF)

JavaBeans Activation Framework (JAF) is a standard extension to the Java platform that lets you take advantage of standard services to: determine the type of an arbitrary piece of data; encapsulate access to it; discover the operations available on it; and instantiate the appropriate bean to perform the operation(s).

MUSE (Apache)

The Apache Muse Project is a Java-based implementation of the WS-ResourceFramework (WSRF), WS-BaseNotification (WSN), and WS-DistributedManagement (WSDM) specifications. It is a framework upon which users can build web service interfaces for manageable resources without having to implement all of the "plumbing" described by the aforementioned standards.

XML Commons External Components XML APIs

xml-commons provides an Apache-hosted set of DOM, SAX, and JAXP interfaces for use in other xml-based projects. Our hope is that we can standardize on both a common version and packaging scheme for these critical XML standards interfaces to make the lives of both our developers and users easier. The External Components portion of xml-commons contains interfaces that are defined by external standards organizations. For DOM, that's the W3C; for SAX it's David Megginson and sax.sourceforge.net; for JAXP it's Sun.
